The reason our water separator no longer has a drain is because the filter element itself traps the water.The new XWS3002XL Must be used in conjunction with the PF3001XL, the new filters cannot be used in combination with the FF-3003/FF-3010 or FS-1001/FS-1020.

When replacing the discontinued filters with the new XWS3002XL and PF3001XL, the XWS3002XL will now be placed on the pressure side of the System and the PF3001XL will be placed on the suction side.

Common Vehicle Applications:

While not vehicle-specific, this filter is commonly used on diesel trucks that have had a FASS system installed, including:

• Dodge Ram 2500/3500 with Cummins

• Ford Super Duty F-250/F-350 with Power Stroke

• Chevrolet/GMC Duramax 2500HD/3500HD

• Other heavy-duty diesel vehicles with aftermarket fuel filtration systems

Important Compatibility Notes:

• This filter must be used with the PF-3001XL Extended Length Fuel Particulate Filter.

• It replaces older style water separators like FF-3003, FS-1001, etc.

• Orientation matters: the XWS3002XL goes on the pressure side of the fuel system.
